Rifugio Prategiano lies 750 metres above sea-level on the slopes of the "Poggio di Montieri", minutes from the village of the same name, Montieri. At this altitude one enjoys a refreshing climate, even in the hottest summer months. The warm rose color of the rock façade, the terracotta statues and floor tiles of our swimming pool terrace evoke the earthy tones of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. Would you like to experience the comfort of a well-kept, rustic Tuscan house? Then you would especially enjoy the high-ceilinged salon and comfortable bar of our 3-star hotel. Telephone, television, shower and toilet in all 20 rooms ensure a comfortable stay. Our cook, spoils us with typical Tuscan meals accompanied by excellent wines of the region. Also, do not not miss the midday picnics. They are the central meeting point for bike riders, horse-back riders, hikers and others who would like to make the most of our picnic bus. An international, and in part English-speaking, team will help with these open air lunches of appetizers, a main course, cheese, wine and coffee.
