Not far from the town square of Sorrento, the Grand Hotel Cocumella was built in the 16th century as a Jesuit monastery and became a hotel in 1822. It is located in a large park that stretches down to the sea, offering panoramic views of the bay of Naples and Mount Vesuvius. The hotel's many amenities include a tennis court, banqueting and conference rooms, a chapel and a private ship for trips along the coast. The entire hotel is air-conditioned.
