Strada di Catignano 24 - 53019 SienaParte della Villa di Catignano, costruita alla fine del XVII secolo per volere di Quinto Settano - pseudonimo accademico di Monsignor Lodovico Sergardi - cultore di lettere ed arti ed avo degli attuali proprietari, è oggi destinata alla accoglienza degli ospiti che amino armonie di memorie ed antichi decori: la dimora gentilizia, che guarda Siena e le statue delle Quattro Stagioni poste ad ornamento del giardino all'italiana, è infatti suddivisa in alcuni grandi appartamenti, ai più suggestivi dei quali si accede attraverso il grande atrio su cui troneggia lo stemma dei Sergardi ed il loro motto "Expertus fidelem". ...Se il sapore di "arcadia" ed i giochi di luce e colori fecero, tra limoni e corbeilles di gerani, da cornice alla lunga tradizione di una famiglia di notai, altissimi prelati e cultori di lettere ed arti, anche l' ospite ritroverà nella serenità e bellezza dei luoghi non solo emozioni di antiche atmosfere ma anche motivi per serbarne un ricordo indimenticabile... The "Villa di Catignano" was built at the end of XVII° century by the ancestor of the currents proprietors, Quinto Settano, pseudonym of Monsignor Lodovico Sergardi, a writer and a lover of the arts. The small borough already existed in 1500 with the name of "Clatinianum" as a property of Sergardi family. Nowadays the Villa, overlooking a beautiful italian garden, decorated with statues representing the four season, and the medievaltowers of Siena in the distance, welcomes guests who appreciate historical sites and suggestive atmospheres. The Villa is divided into large apartments, the mostsuggestive ones can be reached walking through the large entrance hall dominated by the coat of arms of the Sergardi family and their motto "Expertus fidelem". Guests will appreciate lemon trees, vases of geraniums all around the Villa and the Arcadian atmosphere wich has been for centuries a frame to the tradition of a family of notaries and lovers of letters and arts. Gegen Ende des XVII Jahrhunderts wurde auf Wunsch von Quinto Settano - akademisches Pseudonym von Monsignore Lodovico Sergardi, Liebhaber und Kenner der Literatur und der Künste, wie auch Vorfahre der derzeitigen Eigentümer - die Villa von Catignano erbaut. Heute steht ein Teil des Gebäudes für Gäste zur Verfügung, welche die Harmonien der Vergangenheit und ihre antiken Werte zu schätzen wissen: Das Herrenhaus mit Blick auf Siena und die Statuen der Quattro Stagioni (vier Jahreszeiten), die den klassischen italienischen Garten schmücken, ist in mehrere große Wohnungen unterteilt.
