Strada di Valdipugna 2 - 53100 SienaFrances' Lodge è una residenza di campagna che nel secolo scorso era la fattoria e la limonaia della vicina casa padronale del '700. Si trova alla sommità di una collina alle porte di Siena, eppure sembra di essere immersi nel silenzio e nella pace che solo l'aperta campagna può dare. Già dopo aver superato il cancello e si percorre la breve strada bianca, la vista della città si impone davanti agli occhi e rimarrà sempre come sfondo del vostro soggiorno con i colori incredibili che a volte illuminano lo skyliner della città, insieme ai tre ettari di vigneto ed oliveto, campi di papaveri rossi e suoni che abbiamo dimenticato ? uccelli ? cicale ? il vento. Tutto interamente recintato per garantirvi l'esclusività del luogo riassumendo il meglio dell'agriturismo e dell'hotel di charme. Sarete accolti con il calore ed il sorriso che si riserva agli amici, apprezzerete con noi questa grande casa ed il pezzetto di Toscana che la circonda, nelle camere troverete sempre acqua e bibite in fresco ed un cesto di frutta di benvenuto; ma soprattutto avrete i padroni di casa a disposizione per qualunque necessità o suggerimento per esempio per ristoranti "segreti" o per escursioni anche in località come San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza... ma anche meno note eventualmente con una guida eccezionale come Roberto. Ognuna delle quattro camere disponibili è dotata di caratteristiche molto particolari: COZY MOROCCAN una camera matrimoniale molto intima e raccolta che vi darà l'illusione di trovarvi in una tenda berbera, con sete colorate, cuscini, tappeti e vista sul deserto ... LARGE WHITE una camera matrimoniale con possibilità di terzo letto aggiuntivo, tutta nei toni del bianco, con merletti e ricami antichi che risaltano sul rosa del cotto... JUNIOR SUITE colori luminosi per la junior suite su due piani, con la camera da letto matrimoniale ricavata dall'antica piccionaia, che può essere usata anche come mini-appartamento indipendente completo di angolo-cottura... |

Frances' Lodge is a country house that in the past century was the farmhouse and the lemon-house of the nearby eighteenth century manor. It is situated at the top of a hill near Siena, and yet you seem to be immersed in the silence and the peace that reigns only in the open countryside. Once you cross the gate and walk down the white path, the view of the city becomes clear and it remains, as a background of your stay, imprinted on your memory, with its incredible colours that light the city's skyliner, along with three hectares of vineyard and olive grove, poppy red fields and the sounds nearly forgotten ..... birds.... cicada.... the wind. Our completely fenced-in property ensures your privacy and enables you to enjoy a taste of tranquil country life (our real "slow life"). You will be greated with a warm welcoming smile at this large house and the tuscan countryside that surrounds it. Cool water, drinks and a basket of fresh fruits awaits you in your room. Above all, your landlords are always available to meet your needs. If you wish they will suggest little-known restaurants, out of the way places to visit, as well as the better-known ones: Chianti, San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza and Val d'Orcia. Upon request they can arrange to have an exceptional guide, Roberto, accompany you. Each of the three available rooms is characteristically furnished: THE COZY MOROCCAN A very intimate and cosy double room suggestive of a Berber tent complete with coloured silks, pillows, carpets and a painted view of the desert... THE LARGE WHITE A double room furnished in varying shades of white with antique laces and embroidery that show up to perfection against the brickwork... JUNIOR SUITE Really a little apartment, furnished in lively colours, with a livingroom, dinette kitchenette, and the bedroom upstairs, in the old dove-coat; in the livingroom a sofa-bed can become a "french" bed, 135 cm large... All have their private bathroom with shower, satellite TV or VCR, refrigerator, hairdryer, swimming-towel, unusual coloured sheets or linen, and light feather quilt in winter. |
