Via del Vallone 53 - 50051 CastelfiorentinoAd appena una trentina di chilometri da Firenze, il Castello di Cabbiavoli, costruito sulle colline che circondano Castelfiorentino in posizione strategica sull'antica via Francigena che univa la Francia a Roma, ne è un esempio significativo. La sua storia inizia nel 1210, quando la famiglia dei Conti Alberti di Certaldo, i potenti signori della Val d'Elsa longobarda, edificarono il Castello di Cabbiavoli. Questa stupenda costruzione, successivamente trasformata in villa signorile, restò di proprietà di questa nobile famiglia fino al 1600. Del castello duecentesco restano ancor oggi tracce visibili nella torre quadrata in mattoni e nelle mura annesse alla villa. Tutt'intorno si estende il Chianti, un paesaggio di colline morbide e ondulate, terra di cantine storiche, famose in tutto il mondo. All'interno di questo scenario, le coloniche annesse al Castello di Cabbiavoli rappresentano la dimora ideale per chi desideri trascorrere una vacanza confortevole e rilassante. Its history dates back to 1210, when the Conti Alberti family from Certaldo, the powerful and influent Lords of the Longobard Elsa Valley, built their castle. This wonderful building was later converted into an elegant Villa. The Conti Alberti family owned this property until the XVII th century. You may still see what remains of the 12th century castle observing the square brick tower and the walls next to the villa.
